Registration For Youth House League Closes April 1st

Last chance to sign up for the softball season.  We do our best to get everyone on a team.  
 

Still lots of room in the following divisions- T- ball(U6), novice(U15), bantam(U17) and midget(U22)

Youth programs 

Ages 4-11 co-ed.        Games /practices weeknights and Saturday mornings

Ages 12-22 Girls.        Part of the Halton Girls Softball League. Games/practices usually Tuesday and Thursday evenings

We have made 2 more teams, 6  teams total , everyone that was on the wait list now has a place on a team. We have 11 spots left.  Registration will close when the 11 spots are filled or on April 4th (whatever comes first). Can still use a few more pitchers. 
 

Calling all Pitchers .  We are still looking for more pitchers for the 2 new teams.  Tell your friends, sign up today before the last few spots are taken.

BASA's modified fastball league is for all adults aged 18 and older (ages 16/17 if they have past ball experience and a parent plays as well)

This league has the same rules as  fastball except the pitching. There’s no windmill pitching this is a slingshot style pitching.  Underhand motion and the hand/ball can only come as high as the head. 


Registration now open ,  tell your friends.  Pick your own jersey number and name ( nickname or fun names allowed and encouraged) 

Teams will be made based on self ranking and the number of pitchers  and catchers we get signed up. 

 

Game will be on Mondays 6:30pm and 8:45pm at Doug Wright park 

Cost $175 per player

Sponsors Needed For the 2023 season

Sponsorship funds keep the cost per player as low as possible. 

Sponsors receive a tax receipt, sponsorship plaque, company name on team shirts and company name on the BASA website 

Adult co-ed league sponsors needed - company name will be on the front of the jerseys and the team will be named after the sponsor. 
 

Sponsorship levels

Platinum -$1000 -  Sponsor 2 teams.  

Gold  - $ 600-   Sponsor 1 team 

Available for all teams, in all age divisions

New rules for 2023

After discussions with surrounding associations, BASA  has decided for the safety of the players, to make it mandatory that all infielders wear a fielders mask. This will be for ages 9 and older (divisions: mite, squirt, novice, bantam and midget)  NO EXCEPTIONS  

It’s not mandatory for outfielders but highly recommended. 
 

All batters must have a cage on their helmet ages 9and older.

 

Mite Division 

No more pitching machine.   Player pitch, if a batter get 4 balls the coach will come pitch up to 4 balls.  Last half of the season player pitch only.

 


 

 

BASA IS LOOKING FOR A FEW NEW BOARD MEMBERS

We are looking for a few new board members for the following areas.

- Umpire coordinator 

- Web Master

- Event Committee members - (opening day, All Star games, closing day and BBQS)

These positions  are not difficult, just need people with the skills for each position. New members will work with current member to learn the position.  Come join the team and make BASA better

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR 2023

BASA needs more volunteers for the 2023 Season.

Please consider joining our team of volunteers in providing the best softball experience for over 200 boys and girls this Summer.

BASA is looking for help with the following;

  • Umpire Coordinator
  • Web Master
  • Event Committee Members

UMPIRES WANTED

BASA is looking for more Umpires for the 2023 Season.  No prior experience is needed.  BASA and Softball Ontario offers free training to those interested.   1 Day training course will be held in the Spring.  BASA covers all costs for training, shirt, hat and protective equipment.  More info can be found here.
