Update- June 21 2020

The BASA executives are working on options for all divisions,  Our goal is to get everyone onto the diamonds for some sort of season.

Refunds-  all refunds have been sent out and should be in the account that was used to pay for the season. 

Survey-  An email survey will be sent out this week to BASA members, this survey will gauge the interest in  pursuing  some sort of softball this summer.    Based on interest and if we get the city’s approval based on our return to play policy.

BASA needs more volunteers for the 2020 Season.

Please consider joining our team of volunteers in providing the best softball experience for over 200 boys and girls this Summer.

BASA is looking for help with the following;

  • Umpire Coordinator
  • Junior Division Convenor
  • Player Development Coordinator
  • Select Coordinator
  • Web Master

BASA and the HGSL (applies to Squirt division and higher) have a number of changes planned for the 2020 Season including;

  • Elimination of the Mid-Season GALA.  Additional games will be played throughout the season (14-15 game season)
  • Opening GALA will be later (May 25/26 weekend) to avoid Mothers Day
  • Coach Pitch (Squirt division) will ONLY in effect for May games - NO COACH PITCH after Opening GALA


BASA is looking for more Umpires for the 2020 Season.  No prior experience is needed.  BASA and Softball Ontario offers free training to those interested.   1 Day training course will be held in the Spring.  BASA covers all costs for training, shirt, hat and protective equipment.  More info can be found here.
