Our winter training is open to all BASA players, friends and new players. All skill levels welcome. Coaches will work hard with players this off season to get them to the next level, along with having a lot of fun. These clinics are a great way to get ready for next season, whether its for select tryouts or just improving your skills.
These are a great opportunity to invite friends that might interested in playing softball next season.

Ages are based on the 2025 season
6-7pm- ages 8-11 co-ed (birth years- 2017-2014)
7-8pm- ages 12-13 girls (birth years -2013-2012)
8-9pm- ages 14-22 girls (birth years - 2011-2003)
*times may change slightly. depending on number of players*
Players are required to bring their glove, running shoes and helmet. fielders mask and batting gloves recommended but not mandatory.
The BMFL is a co-ed league, open to all players ages 18 and older. (Ages 16 & 17 allowed if players have past experience and a parent is playing as well). This is not a windmill style pitching League. Pitching is an underhand motion but still quick. Click the link above to go to the BMFL main page

It is mandatory that all infielders ages 10 and older wear a fielders mask. (divisions: mite, squirt, novice, bantam and midget) NO EXCEPTIONS It’s not mandatory for outfielders but highly recommended.
All batters MUST have a cage on their helmet ages 10 and older.

When you're at Cobbs on Fairview St. tell them you're a part of BASA. We will receive a percentage of your purchase that will go towards equipment.
If for any reason you choose to withdraw yourself or your child from registration prior to the season commencement there will be a $50 processing fee subtracted from your refund. Any refund requested after season commencement will have a $50 processing fee deducted and 50% of the registration fee will be withheld to cover the costs incurred for uniforms, equipment, diamonds, umpires etc. Season commencement is considered to be April 1st, as team formations begin at that time.
BASA is looking for more Umpires for the 2025 Season. No prior experience is needed. BASA and Softball Ontario offers free training to those interested. 1 Day training course will be held in the Spring. BASA covers all costs for training, shirt, hat and protective equipment. The Burlington Amateur Softball Association (BASA) has been in operation since 1963 and provides both recreational and competitive softball for hundreds of boys and girls in Burlington.
