    New rules for 2023

After discussions with surrounding associations, BASA  has decided for the safety of the players, to make it mandatory that all infielders wear a fielders mask. This will be for ages 10 and older (divisions: mite, squirt, novice, bantam and midget)  NO EXCEPTIONS

It’s not mandatory for outfielders but highly recommended.

All batters must have a cage on their helmet ages 10 and older.

    Mite Division

No more pitching machine.   Player pitch, if a batter get 4 balls the coach will come pitch up to 4 balls.  Last half of the season player pitch only.

    • To create a positive environment.
    • To promote teamwork and an attitude of enthusiasm and effort.
    • To ensure that softball is fun for all players, regardless of age, race, orientation or ability.
